The announcement today by the Andrews Labor Government that alternative locations would be sought for the proposed development of a new fire station and ambulance station in Morwell is a positive step.
However the Government should have listened and consulted with the Morwell emergency service responders in the first instance.
They would then have understood that the proposed site was not the preferred location for many of our fire and ambulance responders.
I am pleased that the Government has finally listened to local concerns and call on the Andrews Government to now get on with the job and build these much needed facilities.
