If you live in the Morwell electorate, you’ve got a strong team representing you in State Parliament.

In the Legislative Assembly, Russell Northe serves you as Member for Morwell, while in the Legislative Council, or Upper House, Peter Hall is one of five members who share responsibility for representing the interests of those living in the new seat of Eastern Victoria Region.

Peter Hall needs little introduction. Having represented the greater Gippsland region from Drouin through to Mallacoota since his election in 1988, Peter is committed to serving the needs of residents of the Gippsland. A staunch advocate for the sustainable use of natural resources and industry development, Peter has also worked hard to bring about improvements in country education and health services for Gippsland residents.

A former footballer himself, Peter knows Russell Northe has what it takes to represent the residents of the Morwell electorate.

“In a way Russell has taken a similar path to my own to arrive in State Parliament,” says Mr Hall. “Playing and coaching football teaches one the leadership skills and dedication required in a strong local representative and Russell is certainly passionate about getting a better deal for Gippsland.

“Having taught Russell before entering state politics, I know he is the right man for the job. As a footballer he was renowned for taking on any challenge and I’ve no doubt his enthusiasm for our region will drive him to do his very best to represent his constituents.”
